About the Movie
Dark Phoenix is the most intense and emotional X-Men movie ever made. This movie is about one of the X-Men’s most beloved characters, Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), as she turns into the iconic DARK PHOENIX. During a life-threatening rescue mission in space, Jean is hit by a cosmic force that transforms her into one of the most powerful mutants of all. Wrestling with this increasingly unstable power as well as her own personal demons, Jean spirals out of control, tearing the X-Men family apart and threatening to destroy the very fabric of our planet. It is the culmination of 20 years of X-Men movies, as the family of mutants that we’ve come to know and love must face their most devastating enemy yet — one of their own.
This movie releases on June 07, 2019 (USA).
Erik Lehnsherr: The world is on the brink!
Professor Charles Xavier: I’m sorry, I didn’t stop this sooner…
Erik Lehnsherr: You’re always sorry, Charles. And there’s always a speech. But nobody cares!
Smith: [to Jean] You feel like you don’t belong here. You don’t. They can’t begin to comprehend what you are.
Raven: Charles, what did you do?
Professor Charles Xavier: I had to keep her stable. I protected her.
Raven: From the truth? There’s another word for that.
Jean Grey: They’re right to fear me.
Young Jean Grey: They say you can fix me?
Professor Charles Xavier: Jean, you are not broken.
Jean Grey: I came here looking for answers.
Erik Lehnsherr: You didn’t come here looking for answers. You came here looking for permission.
Raven: [to Jean] Look at me, focus on my voice. I’m not giving up on you, Jean. You are family, Jean, no matter what…
Jean Grey: Stop, stop, STOP!
[hurls Raven away]
Smith: What they don’t understand, they fear. And what they fear…
Jean Grey: …they seek to destroy.
Jean Grey: [cries in the rain] Why did you make me do that? She was my friend…
Erik Lehnsherr: The girl dies!
