About the Movie
Peter Gibbons (Ron Livingston) a computer programmer working on a software company, Initech. The boss, Bill Lumbergh (Gary Cole) is a soulless barking dog who always shouts on his staffs. Peter and two of his friends Samir (Ajay Naidu) and Michael Bolton (David Herman) tired of working under a humiliating boss. Meanwhile, Initech hired experts to downsize the company. Every day is becoming worst to Peter. Accepting his girlfriend’s suggestion, he agreed to meet an occupational hypnotherapist to relieve his work stress. But, middle of the hypnosis session, Peter’s therapist died. And the show start from here. He never came out from the hypnosis state and got a new outlook on life. He acts differently from before; he ignores what makes him annoy, refuses overtime at the office, enjoying life, dating with his crush and many more that usually, he doesn’t do. The new Peter’s acts impressed the experts at office, and they promoted him on the management fast-track. He came to know that his two friends are going to be downsized. So, he and his planned to exact revenge on their company based upon an idea from Superman III.
